Hi all,

I'm new to Proxmox. I'm using VE 5.0. I set proxmox on my home computer (i5, 24Gb RAM, 500Gb SSD ...). Instalation went well. Then I set up some linux and windows VM's. I can connect to the VM's fine by using the build in console or spice. But I can't figure it out how to use external VNC client (like for example VNC-Viewer-6.1.1-Windows-64bit) to connect to VM host.
Also I'm not able to connect to the VM's using spice client for windows (virt-viewer-x64-5.0). I enter spice://IP_address_of_the_VM. The hardware settings on the VM in this case is set to Display: SPICE (qxl)

What am I doing wrong. I've searched this forum, internet etc. and I couldn't resolve the problem. Can someone explain this to me. Thanks.

Such feature is not implemented. You must login into PVE-Webinterface. Than you can call the console. We use this way also to unprivileged customer with ACL's: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/User_Management

And VNC you can also install in the VM.
