We currently use a 3-Node cluster with Ceph. Each node has 6 25Gb Nics and 4 1GB Nics (3 2-Nic 25GB Bonds, one for Ceph-Cluster, one for Ceph-Public, one for VM-Traffic + 2 1GB Bonds for Coronet and Management, all configured as active-passive). Each node hosts 7OSD.
We are planning to add 2 additional nodes to the cluster, with no OSDs.
My questions:
Is it OK to add nodes without OSDs?
Do I simply have to configure them identical to the existing nodes (installing Ceph with Ceph-cluster and Ceph-public-interfaces but without OSD)?
Do I install additional Ceph-Monitors on the new nodes, or do they use the 3 existing ones?
