Hi,
We have Exchange 2000 with a POP – Connector as E-mail Server, the DNS works on the same machine, also both with same IP: 172.XXX.XXX.XXX, the domain name is “yyyyyyyy.local. Hostname and PTR is O.K on DNS.
On Exchange Server, outbound connection is on port 26 and the Smart Host is “PROXMOX, now…., when I send the Reports from PROXMOX to postmaster@yyyyyy.local it works fine but when I send an email to xxxxx@web.de, Exchange can not forward this to PROXMOX!!!
From outside, from xxxxxx@web.de the mail is coming in but when I’m looking the Statistics I see only Incoming Mails nothing in Outgoing Mails.
I have a problem when I try with telnet to connect PROXMOX on port 26 and 25, don’t have connection. Firewall allows forwarding port 25 and 26 from PROXMOX.
The ping it works fine….
Any idea how to do this or what is false configured? Another question, for one domain I don’t need Transports or?
Best Regards
Paun
