Etesync, anybody? LXC, OCI, VM? Pitfalls?

Guys,
I guess the title says it all: I would like to run Etesync on my little Proxmox home server to synchronize calendar, contacts and tasks between devices.
Current preference: Install in unprivileged Debian13-LCX. (With challenge: Data on external USB device.)
Before getting started and not finding any mention of Etesync in this forum, I would like to ask if anybody would be willing to share their experiences and warn me of pitfalls.
Or do you all use Nextcloud, Baikal, Radicale, ... ?

I don't use it but did you try the install guide on https://www.etesync.com/user-guide/ or
https://github.com/etesync/etesync-dav/wiki/Installing-EteSync-DAV-on-Linux ?
I see no reason why it shouldn't work with your Debian lxc

Thank you for your reply, following these guides is what I plan to do.
Before getting started, though, I wanted to ask if anybody can recommend or warn of something, so that I do not run off into a totally wrong direction or miss some obvious pitfalls.
If you don't see any showstoppers, that's a helpful confirmation of my intentions, too.
