/etc/pve/status.cfg not running

I search the forums but didn't find a something that helps

prometheus:
server IP
port 9090
path proxmox

I also tried without path line


tried service pvestatd restart but I never see any outbound connections checking

netstat -au

where did you get the 'prometheus' line?
it has to be either 'graphite' or 'influxdb' see https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/External_Metric_Server

is there a way to verify its working ?

netstat -au not seeing a udp attempt
did a service pvestatd restart

anything in the syslog?
also pvestatd only sends data to the server only once every 10 seconds and probably that is too short to detect it via netstat. does data come in on your influxdb server?
