Hello, I am setting up a new piece of hardware:

Supermico Case w/ Integrated Motherboard
2 x Quad Core 2 (2.5 Ghz Processors)
16GB Ram
4 x 1TB SATA Hard Drives in RAID 5 configuration
Adaptec SATA RAID Controller 5805

I only get through the first few steps. It detected the RAID as a single drive just fine, but as soon as it starts to partition, it stops and says there is an error on line 530.

I tried to hit ALT + F2 but it doesn't work, only option is to reboot or abort, but both do the same thing.

bummer, ok. seems like that needs to be addressed at some point as we get stronger and stronger hardware, that's a big limitation.

Config_lbd?

I found this Googleing...

Breaking 2TB - Use Linux with CONFIG_LBD enabled. Most Linux file systems are capable of partitions larger than 2 TB, as long as the Linux kernel itself is. Most Linux distributions now have kernels compiled with CONFIG_LBD enabled (Ubuntu 6.10 does, for example.) As long as the kernel is configured/compiled properly, it is straight-forward to create a single 4TB EXT3 (or similar) partition.

I don't know if this is possible but it may be an option in the next build? Thanks!
