I have this problem fetching datastore on the same host of the proxmox itself.
It is installed on same machine

Hi,
please provide a bit more context, where do you see this error? Is this when trying to access the PBS via the PVE storage? As the error states, this is most likely a permission issue. Make sure you used the right credentials and the user is allowed to access the datastore. Note that a user has no permissions by default, see https://pbs.proxmox.com/docs/user-management.html#access-control
