Error during upgrade

hi, newby here.

When I try to update Proxmox I get the error below, it used to work but since ~ 2 weeks I cannot install any updates

dpkg: unrecoverable fatal error, aborting:
loading files list file for package 'ca-certificates': cannot read /var/lib/dpkg/info/ca-certificates.list (Input/output error)
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2)

Any idea why this is?

Seems like your certificate list does not exist.

I just copied mine, copy the 2 commands one after another into your pve root shell.

If your certificate list is missing maybe more is wrong.

Hi H4R0, thanks this did help, I can update again. Strange thing is that the file was present and I could read / edit it.
Anyways I removed the old file and created the new one and this is now working fine
