Dear Proxmox Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to seek your guidance regarding enabling Wake-on-LAN (WoL) on a Proxmox node using ethtool. I have noticed that ethtool is already installed on Proxmox by default, which is great. However, I am encountering some confusion regarding the proper configuration.
Here are the key points of my setup and the issue:
1. I am not using a cluster; this is a standalone Proxmox node.
2. I have observed the option to enable Wake-on-LAN in the node settings via the web interface, which includes specifying the MAC address.
3. Unfortunately, this configuration seems to work only in a clustered environment or through the web interface.
Could you please provide clear instructions on how to enable Wake-on-LAN for a standalone node using ethtool or any other supported method? Additionally, if there are specific steps to make this setting persist after a system reboot, I would greatly appreciate your guidance.
Thank you for your time and support. I look forward to your response.
Regards
