email alerts for VMs

Are there any plans to add alerts (email/sms/other) tied to VM/CT events and stats from within Proxmox? I can add monitoring from within the VM itself by using third party tools but it might be nice to have a toolkit that allows me to monitor and alert all managed from within the PVE interface.

For example, things like averager RAM and CPU usage, Disk size etc.

you can already add an external metrics server (for now grafana & influxdb are available), with those such alerts should be doable: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/External_Metric_Server
