I have already perform a test setup of a cluster with 3 nodes with drbd replication on 2 of them using ipoib, the results are good and the setup is really straightforward.
As I have read on the proxmox 4.1 release note, the drbd version is 9, and it looks like it support native rdma over infinband as transport method: http://drbd.linbit.com/users-guide-9.0/s-replication-transports.html
But it looks that the drbd_transport_rdma.ko kernel module is missing.
Have rdma transport can be huge advantage and a great benefit in terms of bandwidth/costs and cpu/memory load for high throughput.
I wondering if it's possible to install some packages or recompile drbd for proxmox, and eventually a little help in the how-to procedure.
