Doubt about swap partition to proxmox

Hi,
I'm new on proxmox.

My server has 48GB of RAM.
I setting up proxmox and i saw information about partitions in this URL: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Installation

My question is,
The recommended swap size if HDSIZE/8
My HD has 4TB, so the swap will be 465GB.

But the URL above, there are a message that the swap can't be more than 8GB.
In this case should i use 8GB or 465GB?

What will the the issues if i use more than 8GB in swap partition?

Yes the maximum swap in the installer is 8GB.

It makes no sense. If you have to swap all your VM get very slow.
Swapping is only a protection for out of memory killer.
Sure if you have a swap device like a ramdisk you can use swap, but the most users have slow HDD's or consumer SSD what is also bad.
