don´t want ntp daemon service working

I´m using ver 2.0 And I want that proxmox ntp daemon doesn´t start ever, even if I restart my cluster..

Any Ideas ???

How do you synchronize time then?

thanks a lot 4 your answer Dietmar but my problem with this service is thant I can´t set the right time on my datacenter... I´m in cuba I can´t be connected 2 the www all days if you have any readings about this I´ll be just Great!!! any way you cleared a doubt about sync I already have....I just make a new Post in

Then you should sync to a local NTP server.

OK..Dietmar let´s say my local NTP server is 192.168.1.55...how I do it??

Edit /etc/ntp.conf
Comment out any line that begins with "server" (put # in front of it)
Put yours in: "server 192.168.1.55"
Restart ntp: "service ntp restart"

Great News...Dietmar!!! I just update the server time using.....: date +%T% -s "hh:mm:ss:tt"

Now I want 2 sync 2 more servers in my datacenter I think 2 edit the /etc/ntp.conf on this servers, and include the address of the server I just update, please put in the right direction I´m waiting 4 your advice...one more time THANKS a LOT 2 you friend....
