Hi,
I have a bunch of VMs on a proxmox 4 (up to date). One of those is a mail server, and when mail is being sent it uses the disk a lot, causing small freezes of the other VMs.
I tried setting 1 Mb/s throttle in the GUI for it's two disks, since it seems to usually use up about 2 Mb/s I figured half would help. But using iotop both in and outside of the VM, I can see that it's not being throttled, it's still writing at whatever speed it wants. Am I missing something ? The disk controller is sata, can't use VirtIO since it's a converted VM from a XenServer. Do I need to reboot the VM ? When I make a change the line isn't going red in the web GUI so I assume not.
Thanks
