Hi there, I'm a Proxmox noob. I got a home server setup, and it's been working great for the past 3 or so months. Yesterday, I installed a Nvidia Tesla K10 in my proxmox system. When I went to boot it up, it would show the following on the display attached to the system:

DMAR: Mapping reserved region failed
DMAR: Mapping reserved region failed
DMAR: Mapping reserved region failed
DMAR: Mapping reserved region failed
DMAR: Mapping reserved region failed
Reading all physical volumes. This may take a while...
Found volume group "pve" using metadata type lvm2
3 logical volume(s) in volume group "pve" now active
/dev/mapper/pve-root: clean, 57948/6291456 files, 3857637/25165824 blocks

And then....nothing. It doesn't get past this stage. It sits here for hours. So now I tried to do a resure boot, and that works. But I'm not sure how to fix the normal bootup. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

EDIT: I also removed the k10, and still have the same issues. I've removed all drives but the PVE drive, to no avail.

=> Those DMAR messages appear also in rescue boot when your card is removed?

What is you Proxmox version (especially kernel)? Is your BIOS updated?

I was running Proxmox 5. I fixed the issue by doing a clean install, backing up my configs. My bios is up to date, but it's old (Asus x58 Board). I'm sorry I can't provide details, I erased the old install :(

Thank you for the willingness to help though! I just wish I could explain what went wrong so that others could learn from my mistakes :(

Glad that you could solve your problem! It would be great if you could mark the thread as solved :) There's an option when editing the opening post.
