Hi
I tried to add a local user "admin" and log in via the webinterface using this username and password, but this doesn't work.

Any solution to change the web-interface-user to a non privileged one?
(of course it would be most useful to set users in relation to virtual machines, meaning different users could change settings / stop-start / ... - "their" machines via the web-gui)

kindest regards
hk

Put your user in group 0 and it will allow you to login to the web interface, but all users will have full control over the web interface just like root.. but not if you login to a shell with that account.

hi
adding the user to group 0 works :-)

now here is my second question regarding this:
where can I log at least the users logging on at the webinterface in order to keep track who's doing something?

thank you again

This information is logged to /var/log/auth.log

well, actually it seems it is not logged in /var/log/auth.log (just tried on cluster master and nodes - no auth-logging there)
