Did I just delete all my files in my LVM?

Okay so, let's start from the beginning...

I have an LVM with my Plex library mounted to a container in Proxmox used as a file server. After powering off the container in question when rebooting Proxmox for a firmware upgrade today, it just didn't want to start at all. I tried several restarts but it simply didn't work: Error code 1.

Well, luckily I have a backup of the container so I tried reverting back to it... the only problem was that the Plex library LVM was the default choice of storage, not the local-lvm. I got an error saying there was no space available etc. Then I selected the right location (local-lvm) and voilá! It worked instantly.

The container started up without issues... BUT... now the Plex LVM is completely wiped. Only a few MB used of several TB... Did I just wipe it completely just by accidentally choosing it as the storage location when restoring the container? It's not like I can't get the information back, I always backup the files I care about. But it would be a pain in the ass to have to fill the disk up with Terabytes worth of media if I don't have to.
