Is there a way to designate a cluster node as a non compute node which will disallow it to accept QM/CT? I know this can be sort-of accomplished by using HA groups but that requires tight adherence to ha-group management; I'm looking to make the behavior default on ceph OSD nodes, etc.

An easy way is to have only one storage local with does not allow container or kvm images. Afterwards you cannot migrate to such a disk.
That would work, I suppose- but how do I accomplish that? the pve storage manager will mount defined shared storage on all nodes... is there a way to limit that behavior?
You can also specify where the storage is attached, default it all nodes.
