Description field for bridges

Hello,

we recently build a productive Proxmox two node cluster with a basic subscription. So far, everything is working great.

Only the networking gives us headaches. We have five bridges on each server, for every zone in our network. For example: LAN, WAN, SAN, DMZ, VPN

Is it possible to add a description field to the bridges? Because nobody knows from memory which bridges is which network.

Hi,

at the moment it is not possible.

we have only notes for VMs at the GUI.

is it possible to rename the existing bridges, or delete and remake them with meaningful names?

Same wish here, would be very helpful. Managing more vmbr's becomes a brain trainer...

Is there something on the roadmap? Or in the meantime add a textfile in the background providing the descriptions? Pulldown vmbrX & textlineX?
