I had a running 7.1 server in a cluster with 3 VMS running. This afternoon, I needed to reboot the server and it failed, saying it couldn't find any boot disks.
It's Dell T 5810 and configured to use EUFI with 2 x 1TB SSDs.
After a lot of faffing about and finding I couldn't boot from USB either, BIOS Setup (F2) showed no bootable disks and some corrupted settings. I reset to defaults, reselected AHCI as the disk mode and booted from a Proxmox CD. initially I tried rescue mode but that failed, so I opted to reinstall Proxmox (I have bakups of all VMs).
The installer ran and I configured the SSDs as a ZFS Mirror (RAID1). The installer ran to completion but when the system boots (no CD) it actuaally boots the installer again - presumably from the SSD.
When I go into the BIOS boot settings, It is trying to boot from FS0: vmlinuz. I would have expected it to be trying to running the efiboot code.
This seems to imply that installing proxmox actually installed the proxmox installer on to the SSD rather than proxmox itself.
Can anybody help me get this system to boot?
