Looking at buying a couple of new servers for my Proxmox cluster am going to be installing 1.9 atm BUT when 2.0 comes out of RC i plan on using that.
The Dell R415 server with Dual Opteron 8284 (8C * 3.0Ghz) Processors and 16GB RAM with a iDRAC 6 express card looks like its going to be a winner. (Currently @ £1202ea)
I plan on installing Proxmox on a USB key and running it on a diskless install with all mny VMs running on my ReadyNAS box - VMs are CPU/RAM intensive with very little IO.
I am also considering installing 1 or 2 SSDs (Caddy + SSD not direct from Dell) in the server for local VMs with High IO.
Anyone got any comments or alternatives?
