I am looking into buying a Dell Server with the Perc H330 controller. Does this work with debian/proxmox? I assume i can just use it in a non-raid mode to use ZFS?
I have a lot of perc h330 mini (and also older h310), works out of the box. can do raid or non-raid . (I'm using raid1 for os, and non-raid for ceph for example)

Just wondering, do you select RAID mode or HBA mode in the idrac settings?
I installed one previously and think selected raid mode, but I deleted each virtual disk that Dell setup initially.
Now for my new box, I have deleted the disks and selected HBA mode, but it won't. Well I restarted it and installed again, looks like it is working now.
Any suggestions? I guessing HBA mode is recommended? I should probably migrate all my old things and resinstall the other computer.
