Hello all!

So after much reading and testing I figured I would post for opinions or thoughts! My intention is to figure out best way to run. Our current hardware contains 2 Dell R620 servers -raid 1 with idrac7 enterprise card and 8 nics, connected with dual SAS to an MD3200 raid 6 of 10TB. Also have the same hardware at another site waiting to be configured. Plan is for production run of 2 Windows domain server vm's and a few linux server vm's for website.

So far I have Proxmox loaded on both servers and clustered. Shared LVM storage on all 10TB with a test vm100 that can live migrate. I had it mounted as ext4 Directory but then read that would get corrupt if shared.
I would like to use some of this space for shared storage as another type so I can store backups and iso's but not sure what to make it. What is suggested?

I have thus far failed to get fencing working on the idrac's but then read that I need 3 machines. Maybe I can use an old workstation as the 3rd quorum node?

I originally intended to just share storage and if node1 fails manually start the vm's needed on node2. Not sure if I have what is needed to get the HA/Fencing to work, but it would be nice.

Anyhow, any suggestions/opinions on best practices and configurations would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks Ed,
