Hi,
I have been running proxmox on Debian for almost a year, currently version 12 with full disk encryption. However, lately I am having more and more issues with corrupt files. I verify the files on another computer and on the USB transfer disk, but when copied to the other machine getting I am not getting a correct sha256sum. Plus sometimes if I run it twice the check sum changes, is this a problem with running on full disk encryption (LUKS) ?

ok I have a new ssd on the way with test with a new installation then, and may look into a bare metal install. thanks

But I have checked with e2fsck a number of times with no issues reported.

USB is a highly unreliable storage interface. You can see same while using zfs on USB kind of disk storage ... takes longer than sha256sum but result is the same - inconsistent data :)
