Hi All,

Here in the UK at the weekend we changed our clocks for BST (British Summer Time) as opposed to our regular GMT.

My proxmox nodes (clustered, not HA) have updated without issue, however my lxc containers have not.

How do I get them to mirror the hosts? I assumed with sharing a Kernel that no configuration would be required.

Thanks

Hi,

do you use ntp in the containers?

Nope, did I wrongly assume that the host's clock settings would be mirrored at all times into the containers?

If need be I can always install ntpd on one of the pve hosts and point ntp to the host in question... Just does not seem intuitive

I think your containers are on UTC so in the winter is this ok.
Check the time settings.
The time are in sync from the host.

Ah, so although the clock is time synced, the container itself does not by default match tzdata of host by default.

Gotcha.
