[SOLVED] Cutting and pasting form a VM?

I don't seem to be able to cut and paste from a VM to my desktop. Is this possible or am I missing something?

As far as I know, if you are using noVNC you cannot simply copy and paste to/from your VM and desktop, whether you are using Windows or Linux inside your VM.

1. If you need that functionality, you should be able to use either Spice/xterm.js instead of noVNC.
2. An alternative is to SSH/RDP/VNC into your VM through another means
3. Containers and the Proxmox host shell should allow you to copy/paste.

You may go to https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/QEMU/KVM_Virtual_Machines and search for "VNC clipboard" there. (Sorry, no deep link...)

Under some (not: all) conditions this will just work. So... give it a try
