When I set up a backupjob for some of my VM, I can only choose, once a month or once a year. (Before once a month in inrelevant)
But I would like to do a custom one which I know you could back in the days, but in the gui there i no more options for this. I guess I cant edit this via the shell so is there a way to make it back up once every 3 months insted of having to choose once a month or once a year.

Btw Im a noob and have been on proxmox a year so.... go easy yeah. :)

You can choose from quite a few different options on how to schedule the job. What you see in the web UI are examples that you can then customize further.

There should also be a "Schedule Simulator" in the top right of the DC->Backups panel where you can see when the next runs would be with a certain schedule.

For more details check out the docs: https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html#chapter_calendar_events
