CT Templates - Debian cmnds not working

Hi there,

Not sure if I'm missing something but when I use the Container Templates of Debian (includes 10 or 11), the "ls" command does not work. All that happens when I press enter, the curser moves down a line but no result.

No matter whether I used the Console built into Proxmox or SSH in, I get the same result.

are you sure there is something in there?
have you tried ls -al? or touch 1;ls ?

If you run ls in an empty directory, you will not see any output. As @bbgeek17 already mentioned, run it with parameters that will show hidden files and the directory itself

Thanks guys. @bbgeek17 & @aaron It was sending me crazy. Have only been using Linux cli for a while and was in the main folder it stars in after login. I used cd ../ to get to main root folder.

Hi,
this is often the case with Unix commands: http://www.linfo.org/rule_of_silence.html Many commands have a -v verbose option for this reason (but not ls).
