Hi,

I am new to this group and technology. I have few desktops/servers which are different CPU, Memory, storage capacity. Have few basic questions as below. Presently using Virtual Box on individual boxes. Want to try out Proxmox and see advantages over Virtual box

1) I want to combine all desktops/servers and use them similar to VMware ESXI
2) Having desktops/servers which are different CPU, Memory, storage capacity is of a issue building a cluster
3) Is there a central console to monitor all virtual servers
4) Is there a feature available like VMotion in VMware

Can someone briefly mention or point me to all we can do with Proxmox environment and good documents/blogs

Thanks

A Proxmox VE cluster can be managed from the web Ui that is available on each node. If you don't want to cluster them, you will have to wait until we release the first version of the Datacenter Manager to have one interface that connects to multiple Proxmox VE clusters or single node servers.

Possible, but especially if you want to do a live migration (vmotion) you need to take care if the target CPUs don't support all instruction sets!
