[SOLVED] Creating permission for datastore does nothing in GUI

I am trying to add the Datastore.Backup permission to my datastore. I created an API token before. However, when I open the dialogue in the GUI (Add -> User Permission), select the user (root@pam) and then select Datastore.Backup as role, click on "Add", the dialogue just closes and nothing happens. The list is not updated. I did this on a previous installation of PBS and it worked without issues.

Where can I see a possible error message? How can I do this on the command line instead?

Nvm, this is because of using root and not another user.
