Im new to Proxmox

I wanted to trail this product to see if we can migrate from vpshere to proxmox due to cost of operation

So ive tried to deploy Proxmox on a single host to explore and test its capabilites

Ive configured a single proxmox node

I've got a production qnap which has got a dedicated network connected to this proxmox node

A dedicated 1TB lun was created for this provisining purpose

I followed the steps given in the proxmox documentation to add the ISCSI storage

And then create an LVM from the ISCSI Storage

The problem is when I create a VLM from the ISCSI Storage, it creates the LVM and shows the STATUS as UNKNOWN

Ive rebooted the host and recreated the lun aswell and connections several time but it still shows the status unknown

Could someone please help , as simple ISCSI Lun things are hard on this proxmox...

A dedicated 1TB lun was created for this provisining purpose
- you appear to have multiple paths to your storage but multipath is not configured
- you are trying to mount LVM pool. LVM is not a file system and is not mounted directly
- only file systems can be mounted
- to use thin provisioning with PVE you do not create a file system. You'd let PVE slice the pool and present the slices to VMs
- you then create file systems inside the VM

You may want to read this article, although it is more applicable to implementing PVE cluster.
