[SOLVED] Creating a Debian VM (UEFI/OVMF)

Hi to you all,

After reading https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/purpose-of-the-efi-disk.53862/ I still can't create a VM (q35 and EFI disk).

Starting with a Debian 12 iso, how do I install Debian?
The installer wants me to create an EFI partition. When I don't create an EFI partition (because there is an EFI disk) in the installer the VM wont boot.
Are there any extra post-install steps?

The EFI disk in PVE is the storage to all EFI related information in your computer. You still need the EFI partition in your OS in order to boot. So in order to have a working UEFI-VM, you need the EFI disk in PVE as well as the EFI parition in your guest OS.
