[SOLVED] Create iSCSI pool under PROXMOX SOLVED

Hi all,

My base question:

Is it possible to create an iSCSI pool on ProxMox, or I can just attached an existing one (from TrueNas for example) and give to my hosts?

If I can create, how? Does it needed a full, empty drive, or if I have free disk space on my LVM drive I can also do it?

The help:
Configuration Example (/etc/pve/storage.cfg)
iscsi: mynas

My goal would be to create a mountable iSCSI pool to install my game libraries on it (Steam, GOG, EPIC) and/or fill it upwith my media contents for a Plex server.

I already have a ProxMox server, but I could install a secon one (possible clustering) or a TrueNas server.

Pros for ProxMox:
- I have experiences with it.
- Clustering with an existing one.
- GPU passtrough.

Cons:
- Cannot create iSCSI (or just under a TrueNas host)?

Pros for TrueNas:
- Can create iSCSI pool
- Native Plex app.
- Can(?) run virtual machine.

Cons:
- No GPU passtrough (for transcoding Plex)
- No experience

iSCSI running locally on one of your potentially clustered proxmox nodes is just not what you want to do at all.

How to setup iSCSI service is completely out of scope for Proxmox. There are many guides on the Internet for iSCSI/Linux configuration.

So I have to decide one thing for now: if GPU passtrough is inportant to me -> ProxMox, if iSCSI -> TrueNas.
