Create approvals in a general journal with Power Automate

Launch Power Automate and then sign in. Choose Templates from the menu on the left side of the home page. You can use two different approval templates related with general journals.

• Request approval for Dynamics 365 Business Central general journal batches: With this flow, Business Central will send an approval request when a General Journal Batch is created in Business Central. When you approve request, it allows edits to the General Journal Batch or additional actions, such as posting the batch.
• Request approval for Dynamics 365 Business Central general journal lines: With this flow, Business Central will send an approval request when a General Journal Line is created in Business Central. When you approve the request, it allows edits to the General Journal Line or additional actions, such as posting the line.

Choose one of these templates, depending on what you need (approval for a journal line or for a journal batch), and select the template tile you want to use. In this example, you'll see how to configure the Request approval for Dynamics 365 Business Central general journal batches flow. When you click on the template tile, you'll get access to the page where you have an opportunity to confirm connections required for this template.
