I'm running 5 Proxmox hosts with an MD3200i for all VM storage, recently every 5 days or so i get both the controllers blowing out on the MD3200i with the following error:
'RAID Controller module wide port has gone to failed state'
Most of my VMs carry on running fine although i have a couple that keep BSOD or getting disk errors at the same time...
Most of my VMs have cache=writeback configured.
Could this be causing the MD3200i to go wobbly OR is it something else?
I've raised a support issue with Dell and they have swapped out one of the disk controllers to see if either are faulty but are insistent that its Proxmox to blame.
I ahve already swapped one controller out and the issue has reoccured so i will swap the other out to see if it is the controller.
Unfortunately the logs from the MD3200i don't give much information but dell have said something about a lot of '2ch' messages - i assume this is normal function for Proxmox though.
