Console problems

Hi,

I have 3 proxmox servers and in all cases, when I use the web console to manage a vm it freezes either inmediatly or after a few minutes. This happens both in firefox and chrome. Is there a way to access a console other than the web console?
I have icedtea installed in my pc, is it enought or I need SUN's hava to have the web console to work properly?

Thanks dietmar, I saw the thread but I discarded it because it was for ubuntu and I was running fedora. I didn't realise that it was about openjdk.
Do you plan to be compatible with openjdk in the future as it's the default java for most of the linux distros nowadays.
