Console on a VM: network error

I'm having a strange error on my system.
I log on into the proxmox node, select one VM and click console.
Java load and, on the first time, I see the error in the syslog:

[COLOR=#000000][FONT=tahoma]no connection : Connection timed out[/FONT][/COLOR]
[COLOR=#000000][FONT=tahoma]TASK ERROR: command '/bin/nc -l -p 5900 -w 10 -c '/usr/sbin/qm vncproxy 102 2>/dev/null'' failed: exit code 1[/FONT][/COLOR]

On the opened window I see: "Network error: could not connect to server"

If i click "reload" all goes ok.
Even if I close the window and click on console, same error.

Sure it's not a big error, but just to know why it happens.

they are some bug report about it.
if console doesn't connect to vnc in 10s, it's timeout.
Do you have some kind of java popup which can delay connection ?

No popup.
Now that I know about timeout, I just noticed that, excpet a couple of event, in the log i see the error exactly 10 secondos after command start.
But I also see in log events:
Start time: 15:18:07 End : 15:18:10 with error for timeout.

Maybe 10 seconds are too short?

can you try to edit:
/usr/share/perl5/PVE/API2/Qemu.pm

search
my $timeout = 10;

and replace it by
my $timeout = 20;

and restart
/etc/init.d/pvedaemon restart

Then please look at your java version. I had the same error and after a JAVA update to the newest VNC working again.

Now the problem happen no more.

Therefore, I will edit the pm file and take a look on

so you have updated java ?

(by the way, java 1.3 seem to be very old ....)
