Currently I have a homelab setup with Proxmox VE 5.1 on a host with 3 NICs and pFsense.
NIC 1 is for Wan
NIC 2 is for Lan (192.168.1.1)
NIC 3 is connected to a switch that is connected to NIC 2 to get access to Proxmox (192.168.1.10)
My laptop is connected to the switch.
Is there a way that I can connect the Proxmox host internally to NIC2 so that I do not need a cable running form NIC 3 to the switch and free up a port on it? Or does anyone know where I can read up on how to do this?
I got no problem connecting VMs to NIC2, but can't figure out how to connect the host to NIC2 which has a bridge to pfsense.
I've attach a schematic of my current setup.
