Configure ProxMox on a single computer

Hi Folks,
Still a newbie here, and was wondering if anyone can point to a resource or video tutorial showing how to configure Proxmox on a single computer not using the network GUI? I don't want to invest in additional hardware and find using an iphone or Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet just to cumbersome for configuring. Thank you in advance!
Update: Just downloaded the PROXMOX VE ADMINISTRATION GUIDE - 7.
Update 2: After quickly scanning the Adm Guide above I can now see why everyone prefers configuring using the GUI Interface.

You can install a browser and graphical desktop environment on Proxmox, because it is Debian under the hood.
(Be carefull with installing NVidia drivers because that part of the guide is outdated.)
