Hi all, new to proxmox. Since ESXi is no longer free I have to move to something else for my drop boxes. I run a small pen test shop. I currently have a few boxes that run esxi on them. I use a small debian vm to auto start and run wireguard to auto connect to my cloud wireguard server. This allows me to be at home and connect to my wireguard server in the cloud and see my debian vm. The debian VM is dual homed with the esx server on a 10.0.0.0/24 address and I can connect to the esx interface. This allows me to use any VMs that are on the server in the customer's network. My questions are:
I need to setup proxmox so that when I send it out to the customer site they can plug in the box and proxmox will pick up the DHCP address.
----I already set proxmox to pull a dhcp, but do I need to do anything with the host file or will it autoupdate?
----Once that's figured out I will need to assign proxmox another nonroutable IP address. Do I need to add another virtual interface or do i use one of the others listed?
I think that's it for now. As I build this out I'm sure I'll have more questions. Thanks
