Greetings. I managed to get the ve installed on a computer I bought online. Turns out it has 16 cpu cores... the subscription cost is over 100 pounds per core? Even for the community edition? I would like to have the subscription so the platform can fetch updates, etc. however 16 x 100 pounds is out of my budget. What does everyone think or what is everyone else doing who just wants to learn the system? Thanks.

The software is free and you can use all features (and upgrade to new versions) for free. No need to buy a support subscription for learning the system.

EDIT: Just to clarify: it's per occupied CPU socket. Empty/disabled sockets on a multi-socket motherboard don't count.
