Hye,
this is homelab,
how to connect different node in the same cluster? do i need physical cable to connect the node?

use case:
server (device 1) <---> firewall (pfsense) (device 2)
- i want to be able to ping the firewall from server and vice versa.

Hey,

how many PVE nodes to you have? Are they already in a Cluster? For obvious reasons only PVE nodes can join a PVE cluster, is the firewall a separate machine, or a VM running in one of your PVE nodes? Generally, for two nodes, or more generally machines, to be able to communicate they have to be on the same network. So they have to be connected by cable through a router/switch, in the context of Clusters WiFi is not really an options since latency is an important factor.
