I am having an issue with VM creation in a cluster. I have a 2 cluster proxmox setup. I have created a resource pool and added all the hardware to it. I have added users, given them permissions, and they can log in and create VM's.

What they cannot do is assign the vmbr0 interface to their VM's. When they create a VM, the network section drop down shows no interfaces. The users setup their machines and then I have to log in as root to assign the network interface . What am I missing besides my sanity?

There is a permission, SDN.Use, that you need to set for those users either on localnetwork or the vmbr0 itself (by clicking on localnetwork in the Guest list to the left). That permissions governs whether users can use the bridge or not.

Thank you!! That was it. There are a lot of different places to add permissions when running a cluster. Its just hard to figure it all out.
