Is it guaranteed that cluster nodes of the same major (but different minor) versions are compatible for a cluster?

If not, where can one get older than the most recent (minor version) ISO? Say one has a large cluster of nodes on 8.0.4, not upgrading to 8.1, but installing additional node ... there's no previous minor version ISO for 8.0 to download, just 7.4 and 6.4, presumably last minors of the still supported majors:

As it's past holidays period, trying my luck to get an official answer maybe on this one? Are minor version differences an issue for cluster nodes?

Hi,

generally speaking, yes, nodes in a cluster can be of a different minor version. Though, it's not recommended running them for a extended period of time like that (even just because of bugfixes and such!).

So as long as there are no special edge cases involved, it should work just fine. But no 100% guarantee can be given, of course.

FWIW, the Proxmox VE 8.0 ISO can still be found here: https://enterprise.proxmox.com/iso/
