Cluster communication secured?

Hi,

i can't find any informations about that within the wiki and forum.

Is the whole communication within Cluster master and node's secured (e.g. SSH)? If i setup up a Cluster configuration this step seem to be secured with ssh. But are status updates, sync, management of VM and stuff also secured?
