Hello,
Long time lurker, first time posting.
I have Proxmox 7.2 and have linux installed on several VM's
I would like to check and update if needed the NIC drivers for
Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 09)
I am experiencing a limit of 100Mbps. I believe all of my cabling and NIC cards in play are capable of Gigabit speeds.
That leaves me believing the bottleneck is with the NIC card drivers on this machine. I do not remember installing drivers and relying on what Proxmox installed for it to function.
Can anyone confirm if I need to update my drivers for this particular NIC, in order to get Gigabit speeds?
If that's the case, how do I do this? I have read existing forums, but I do not want to mess around with it too much as if I mis-step it will break my currently working setup.
Thank you in advance.
