Hello,

I would like to take ZFS snapshots (remote storage via NFS) of the qcow2 img vm's. The cheapest (in terms of efficiency) way would be generating a virtual machine live snapshot before doing the zfs snapshot
and if yes will this snapshot result in a consistent file system system (don't care about the apps) ?

Thanks.

Hi,
why you make a zfs snapshot if you have already an qcow snapshot.
What should be the profit of this procedure?

and yes the data on the storage are consistent anyway.
also with a single snapshot.
