We have been using the default gateway on proxmox the way it was setup during the installation , meaning being on the cluster network. We want to move it to an 10 Gbps interface to have the PVE VM backup work faster and not possibly interfere with the cluster network. I saw a post here that somebody made the change for that reason and it was working in a test environment.

Does anybody know of any issues I might experience or reason why I should not be doing it ?

Thank you

Please provide some more information:
* do you want to move all of your traffic to the 10G network?
* if not which part do you want to move to the 10G network?
* please post your `/etc/network/interfaces` (like it is now, and like you want to change it)
* describe a bit more what you want to change and what you hope to accomplish

Thanks!
