Hi,

If I need to change the root password on a cluster node, can I do so without upsetting the cluster? (ie just run passwd in a shell).

Only reason I ask, is when first joining nodes, you have to enter the root password of the node, I want to make sure it's not linked somewhere...

Thanks,
Stu.

no the root password is only used once, then all authentication happens via public/private keys
