Hi,
I have cluster with few nodes
some of the nodes are connected to the cluster with internal IPs
and some of nodes are connected with WAN IPs
now, I want to move all the WAN member to Internal IPs
it's possible without remove the nodes from the cluster and add it again?
am asking since each node have active Continers, and as good as I know, I can't add node with active container back to cluster, and it's mean I need to move all Contaniers to another nodes and move it back
lot of work that I try to prevent
Using Proxmox v3.4

Hi,

check before you have connection to the host on the new network.
you have to change only the ip in the /etc/hosts

then restart cman and pveproxy

Dear Wolfgang,
before the restart for the related services / hostname issues
thanks for your answer, but where I see / change the IP of the Cluster-member nodes?

Regards,

Code:
 pvecm status

Thanks Wolfgang,
this is for view, for the current node only, and am looking where I can change this on the cluster
I see this at /etc/pve/.members
but I can't edit this file

Regards,

There is no central point to change the cluster ip.
You have to do it on all nodes separately.
The cman calculates the multicast address from the given home network.

Thanks Wolfgang,

I have no problem to edit that in all the nodes separately, but as I said
I see this at /etc/pve/.members
but I can't edit this file
how can I edit that in each node?

Regards,

this File is auto generated and will change if you change as I told you the /etc/hosts

OK, just to make sure,
192.168.0.30 server1
192.168.0.40 server2
192.168.0.50 server3
on that way?
server1 / 2 /3 are the node names

Regards,

Yes but to be save make a copy from the file.
and if you if you have trouble you can copy them back.

and after changing don't forget to restart cman and pveproxy
